Temsa is the bus and coach brand of Temsa Global, which is one of the major companies belonging to Turkey’s leading financial & industrial conglomerate Sabanci Holding. Temsa branded products are distributed in over 46 different countries in different regions including Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the Gulf region and CIS. Temsa Global’s manufacturing plants are located in Adana (Turkey) and Cairo (Egypt). Around 75% of its production is destined for international sales, of which 80% are realized in Europe. Temsa’s evolution reflects its increased focus on customer-servicing and sustainability

Kortrijk, BELGIUM, 15 October 2009 – Temsa Global, manufacturer and distributor of commercial vehicles, has announced today at Busworld Europe, the leading Bus & Coach exhibition in Europe, the rollout of the company’s new brand identity, which will reflect TEMSA’s increasing focus on customer services and sustainability. TEMSA also presented the newest version of its city bus with hybrid technology, TEMSA AVENUE HYBRID, an example of TEMSA’s environmental engagement.
As part of its new branding, TEMSA has created a new logo to reflect the evolution it has undergone in recent years. “We have introduced our new visual identity to reflect this shift towards a more comprehensive, full product & service offering”, says Mehmet Buldurgan, Chief Executive Officer of Temsa Global. The new logo illustrates this evolution through a design that uses a circle representing the caring and holistic approach of TEMSA to its business relations. The natural, wave-like shapes reflect the dynamic, forward-looking nature of the brand while preserving the heritage through the use of two small inner circles and keeping the same blue color.

“Over the last few years, we have placed increasing emphasis on providing services to our customers” explains Ali Murat Atlas, Managing Director of Temsa Europe. “We have, for example, improved our communication towards customers by creating more effective and user-friendly online tools.”

TEMSA also wants to highlight it’s growing commitment to sustainability, which is reflected in the introduction of more energy-efficient manufacturing processes and ongoing research and development (R&D) of environmentally sustainable solutions.
TEMSA’s R&D efforts focus on recyclability, recoverability, light weight materials, alternative fuel and alternative power train solutions, such as hybrid technologies. TEMSA AVENUE HYBRID, designed for urban public transportation, is the latest example of the brand’s ongoing search for greener transport vehicles.
“When thinking about the future of transport, environmentally-friendliness and high economic value are priorities,” explained Timucin Bayraktar, General Manager of Temsa R&D Company. “This is what drives our R&D efforts. With our new TEMSA AVENUE HYBRID, we want to show cities, municipalities and public transport companies that TEMSA is ready to offer efficient and sustainable transport solutions using the latest technology, while guaranteeing low lifetime ownership cost”.
